Dr. Carlos Pérez-Cosio received his medical degree with honors from the Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City, Mexico. He went on to complete his obstetrics and gynecology residency at RUSH University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Pérez-Cosio cares for women from adolescence and beyond. He treats patients with irregular menstrual cycles, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), abnormal Pap tests, sexual dysfunction, urinary tract infections and vaginal or pelvic pain or infections. Additionally, he focuses on women’s high-risk pregnancies, infertility evaluation and therapies for urinary incontinence. Dr. Pérez-Cosio also completed training in minimally invasive robotic surgical techniques. 

Each of Dr. Pérez-Cosio’s patients receives a highly personalized care plan that is easy to understand. His diligent, compassionate and respectful approach to care helps ensure that patients feel informed, at ease and enthusiastic about the care they receive. He is also fluent in Spanish. Dr. Pérez-Cosio believes that being part of a woman’s journey in expanding her family is the best part of his job. 

In addition to caring for his patients, Dr. Pérez-Cosio’s research has been published in medical journals, such as the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, and he has presented his research at numerous medical conferences. 

A Fellow Member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), Dr. Pérez-Cosio strives to stay current with his ever-evolving specialty through participation in annual continuing medical education courses and events. 

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and twin girls, skiing, playing soccer and traveling.
